Åsa Näslund: ★★★★★

In September 2013, our VW 1200 1950 model was picked up from a barn at my (Åsa’s) parents in Hälsingland. The car had not been in traffic since 1967. As a curiosity, it can be mentioned that the car was used on their honeymoon to Italy in 1959. Over time, various details had disappeared such as chairs, one fender and some other small things.

After being stored in a garage in Strängnäs, we got in touch with Mathias at Fahlke Classic Cars. Before he undertook the job, he came and inspected the car on site in Strängnäs to ensure that a renovation as close to original condition as possible, according to our wishes, was feasible. In March 2019, the journey went towards Åmål. During the renovation, we were in close contact to check how the work was progressing. When we brought the car home to Hälsingland in June 2020, we were delighted to find that the car was completely according to or actually better than our hopes! We are now enjoying our nice car out on the roads! Summertime of course…

I bought my 1953 convertible back in 1995. I drove it for a few summers but it was in too bad condition for me to enjoy it. I was very impressed by what I saw on my first visit to Fahlke in the fall of 2021 and I immediately put myself on the waiting list for a complete renovation.  I have been very involved in the renovation and all decisions made along the way. I appreciate the level of knowledge, accuracy and good reception at Fahlke Classic Cars. They have also done minor work on my other cars and I would highly recommend Fahlke for both major and minor work.
